Located in Gillette, Wyoming, PBEA belongs to Area IX of United States Eventing Association (USEA)

We have been a non-profit Wyoming registered corporation since 1988. Check us out on Facebook at Powder Basin Equestrian Association.

PBEA promotes the disciplines of English riding, Eventing, Dressage and Show Jumping. We welcome all riders, and have many members who just like to ride their horses on the beautiful mowed paths and terrain of the cross-country course.

Memberships forms are available on this website as well as at the Office porch at the Equestrian Park.

PBEA ran recognized horse trials for over 25 years, but due to lack of an Organizer and volunteers, our last Horse Trials was in 2020.

The course includes 5 levels (heights) of jumps, including two water obstacles.  Elementary (18"), Beginner Novice (2'6"), Novice (2'11"), Training (3'3") and Preliminary (3'7")

Sally O'Connor designed the original course in 1988. Since then, it has been modified and professionally built by Robin Hahn, Paul Popiel, Steve Buckman, Greg Schlappi, JM Durr, Ali Shinn and Cathy Weischhoff
